Why Interested in Coaching
As someone who wants to help people, I used to think mentoring was the best way to support others. I was used to guiding them by sharing advice and helping them move forward. However, after I learned about coaching, I realized that each person can discover their own solutions and take ownership of their growth. This shift in perspective is deeply motivating for me.
Coaching, to me, is more effective than simply giving advice because it helps people explore, understand themselves, and uncover what they already know inside. Instead of telling someone what to do, coaching creates space for the individual to reflect, ask better questions, and find answers that truly fit their life. I want to grow personally as well, while using coaching to help youth maximize their potential.
Through a basic coaching training with the Coaching for Transformation Network, I saw practical change in how I support others and the impact of this approach. It inspired me to continue by taking advanced training and immersing myself more deeply in coaching. My goal is to support young people in digging out their strengths, understanding their purpose, and building the confidence to reach their full potential.
